Glimmering lights, a centerpiece chandelier and backlit-artwork reminiscent of the country of India adorned the palatial-like setting at the Young The Giant concert at Arizona Financial Theatre on Saturday, August 5. Adorned in a white, three-piece suit lined with embroidered flowers honoring his American-Indian lineage, lead vocalist/frontman Sameer Gadhia passionately belted out song-after-song to capacity crowd at the venue. Jacob Tilley on lead guitar, Payam Doostzadeh on bass, Francois Comtois on the drums and Eric Cannata on second lead guitar are far more than a supporting cast of expert musicians that form the band.

The night began with a band, while the mostly millennial-aged crowd erupted in glee when the first lyric of “Cough Syrup” was sung. it was as if someone turned up the switch to overdrive and ignited a super-frenzy. “Life’s too short to even care at all, whoa-oh-oh. I’m losing my mind. Losing my mind. Losing control...”. YTG also performed their most recent chart-topping hit “The Walk Home” and everyone’s favorite tune “My Body”, amongst others. Gadhia’s love for his art was evident as he tirelessly serenaded, danced and made sure his hair remained perfectly-styled throughout the show. The entire musical set was on point and the emanating sound was music-to-the-ears.
