Who remembers the music scene during the 1980’s? When one reflects upon it, the charming, vivacious and outspoken band Duran Duran surely comes to mind.
These gifted lads from Birmingham, England, took the world by storm with their explosive new wave legendary guitar licks by John Taylor, supportive bass and percussion team of Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor, with synthesized-infused sounds by Nick Rhodes and melodic harmonies by charismatic lead singer Simon Le Bon. I recall their concert performance was very lively and memorable.
The British posse aren’t only great performers, but they’re easy on the eyes too. With the birth of Music Television - MTV, the proof was in the pudding. The band became overnight video stars. Success was in the palm of their hands and they’ve proven their staying power as Duran Duran embarks on a global tour that will surely rock your world. So who wants to see them in concert? Repeat after me, “I want my MTV!”
