I have had the privilege of attending Roxy Music’s very own singer-songwriter Bryan Ferry’s concert many years ago. It was quite a memorable experience for me on a few levels.
Firstly, the British crooner filled the auditorium with his sultry, seductive vocals with songs such as: “Kiss & Tell”, “Avalon” and “More Than This”. The room wreaked of romance.
Secondly, there was a rather tall and obnoxious gal in the audience, who finagled her way to the front (perfectly placed within Bryan’s direct line of vision). She had obviously been indulging earlier, and what made it clearly evident was her actions upon reaching the stage. Why she felt the need to throw her panties at Mr. Ferry during the song “Slave To Love” is beyond me. I hope it was a clean, freshly washed pair.
Thirdly, I was personally invited to a
meet-and-greet of the iconic singer after the concert ended by Bryan’s tour manager. My friend and I were aghast, but extremely excited. After all, we were going to meet Mr. Ferry. We made our way upstairs to a loft-like room where others were assembling and guess who else was there. You got it…The Panty Princess.
